Top 10 Things to see in Tuscany

Florence

You can’t go to Tuscany and not visit Florence! It’s packed with art, history, and culture. The Duomo is breathtaking, and you have to check out the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio.

Siena

Siena is like stepping into a medieval fairy tale. The Piazza del Campo is a must-see, especially if you’re there during the Palio. The Palio is a famous, historic horse race that takes place twice a year in Siena on July 2nd and August 16th.

San Gimignano

This place looks like something straight out of a medieval movie. It’s famous for its towers, and walking around the town is like stepping back in time.

Monteriggioni

If you want to experience a small, quiet town surrounded by medieval walls, this is the place. Monteriggioni is a little gem, with its charming streets and views from the walls.

Montepulciano

A hilltop town that’s all about wine (specifically, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano). It’s small but has tons of charm, with beautiful views, great food, and lots of places to taste local wines.

Pienza

This town is like a Renaissance dream, with stunning views over the Val d'Orcia. The cheese here is incredible so definitely try the Pecorino here.

Asciano

If you want to get off the beaten path, Asciano is a quieter spot in the Crete Senesi. The landscape here is like something out of another world, all rolling hills and farmland—don’t miss Baccolone.

Chiusure

Another hidden gem, Chiusure is small but so charming. It’s perfect if you’re looking to escape the crowds—be sure to visit the Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore there, which adds to the town’s peaceful, historic vibe.

Elba Island

For a little getaway, head to Elba Island. It’s not far from Tuscany but feels like a whole different world. Gorgeous beaches, crystal-clear water, and a relaxed island vibe.

Pisa

Of course, Pisa is famous for the Leaning Tower, and while it's definitely worth a quick stop to see the tower, I’d recommend not spending too much time in the city since there aren't as many other sights to explore.
