Top 8 Things to see in Vang Vieng

Blue Lagoons

There are numerous lagoons around Vang Vieng, and it's recommended to try to visit as many as possible because each one has its own unique charm.

Our absolute favorites were 📍 Blue Lagoon 4 and 📍 Blue Lagoon 2. If you're heading to them, it's better to prepare some drinks and food since not all of them have facilities to purchase refreshments.

Tubing on the Nam Song River

Book a tour and float down the river on an inner tube, stopping at riverside bars for drinks and fun.

Make sure to pack a waterproof bag to carry your belongings with you.

Trust me, this is one of the most fun things you can do here!

Nam Xay Viewpoint

Yes, this is the viewpoint where you can find a motorbike and one of the best landscapes I have ever seen.

Going up can be quite tricky, especially in the rainy season, as it can get really muddy and slippery.

Nonetheless, it's really steep, so you should wear proper shoes to climb up.

Tham Chang cave

It offers a nice view of the city, and it's really an easy hike, but the cave itself is truly stunning.

Hot Air Ballooning

In Vang Vieng, you have the opportunity to try hot air ballooning at sunrise. While we haven't done it there ourselves, we did experience it in Turkey, and I highly recommend trying it.

Plus, it's one of the cheapest places to do it! It costs around 100 € per person.

Rock climbing

There are many options to try it for both beginners and experienced climbers.

Kaeng Nyui Waterfull

It's a nice trail that leads to a waterfall, where you can enjoy swimming and it's also a perfect spot to relax.

Nightlife

Vang Vieng has a pretty good nightlife. You can start your night at 📍Nana Hostel and then go with the flow, but you'll likely end up at bars like 📍Jaidee's Bar.
